SABAR - Our Island III is an aditus foundation project that aims to gather the memories of citizens, residents, participants and onlookers of the Malta Protests which took place between November 2019 and January 2020.

The Malta protests started on November 20th 2019, further to the arrest of businessman Yorgen Fenech in connection with the assassination of Maltese journalist Daphne Caruana Galizia. The arrest led to revelations of alleged political links between the assassination and the government led by Joseph Muscat. Protests called for the resignation of the Prime Minister, his Chief of Staff and other Ministers, whilst also calling out widespread corruption, money laundering and weak rule of law in the country.
