In the morning, university students and academics participate in a protest organised by KSU (University Student Council) and block off parts of the main roads in Msida near the university complex.
In a bizarre moment, Yorgen Fenech leaves the Court building in Valletta together with his defence lawyer, and calmly walks to the law firm’s office. He lights a cigarette and calmly speaks to journalists whilst being followed by a small number of activists calling him names.
Another anti-corruption protest takes places in Valletta in the evening in front of the Prime Minister’s Office. A small crowd gathered in front of the Daphne’s memorial beneath the Great Siege Monument where they placed flowers and candles.
